Ryan Hemsworth (born April 23, 1990)[1][2] is a Canadian record producer and DJ.[3] Raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he attended University of King's College, where he studied journalism.[4] His speciality is electronic music and sampling.[5] He has produced tracks for Deniro Farrar and Shady Blaze, among others.[6] He has also remixed works by Grimes, Frank Ocean, Tinashe and Cat Power.[7] His 2013 LP, Guilt Trips, was released by Last Gang Records.[8] In 2014, he released the second album, Alone for the First Time.[9]
Awards
In July 2014, Hemsworth was the recipient of the SOCAN Breakout Award at the SOCAN Awards in Toronto.[10]
