Sambhujeet Baskota (Nepali: शम्भूजीत बाँस्कोटा) is a Nepali music composer. He is considered "by far the most popular and prolific music director in Nepali Film Industry".[1] He has composed over 3,000 songs, which have appeared in more than 250 films.[1]Currently, he is also working for an anti-drug program to help kids all over Nepal.
Sambhujeet Baskota has 2 sons and 2 daughters. One of them is the new music director Mr Sauryajeet Baskota who composed the music of Kusume Rumal - 2,the successor of the original Kusume Rumal whose music was composed by Sambhujeet Baskota. The music of Kusume Rumal-2 was a real big hit in Nepal as was the music of the original. Having worked with Aditya Narayan, Mr Saurya proved himself capable of his father's skills and composed the same high quality music. Baskota's other sons and daughters are closely associated with Nepal's film industry.
