San Pablo Arts District
The San Pablo Arts District (SPAD)[1] is a nascent arts district along the San Pablo Avenue corridor, between 53rd and 67th Streets in the Golden Gate neighborhood of Oakland, California.

- Emeryville Art Exhibition,[6] featuring works of nearly ninety artists and craftspeople - both established and emerging - who live or work in Emeryville. The Annual Exhibition is hosted by a different location each year. 2013 will be the 27th edition of the event.
- The Grease Diner / Laurie Shapiro Gallery,[7][8][9] 6604 San Pablo Avenue, Oakland, CA. The Grease Diner is an art gallery, retail store, and DIY screen printing studio. The Grease Diner houses the Laurie Shapiro Gallery, providing landscape for her large-scale mixed media paintings; as well as a retail store that sells over a dozen artists and craftmakers work, including clothing, gifts, art prints, zines, and other hand-made items. Every Tuesday and Thursday evening, The Grease Diner hosts a DIY screen printing open studio, where customers can screen print their own images. In addition, the Grease Diner is home to Jon Jon Cassagnol's recording and production studio. Jon Jon is a music engineer and producer, lead singer of Dub Skanky [Pittsburgh, PA], and founder of the original Grease Diner Recording Studio in Pittsburgh, PA where he worked with over 60 artists and bands in a wide variety of styles.[10]
