Sarah Gregory née Osborne is an American singer, painter and makeup artist.

Music career

Sarah Osborne sang with the bands Repetition (1979) and with Marine (1981) after they lost their singer Marc Desmare before a gig in London. She then moved to Belgium to sing with the band, renamed Allez Allez (1982-1985). She later sang with Kino (1986). She has also sung on a number of tracks and albums for other bands, including Heaven 17's 1983 hit track "Temptation."[1]

Besides her singing career, Gregory is a well known painter and make-up artist who has worked with Boy George, Jhelisa and Tasmin Archer. Her paintings have featured on CD releases by Nico, S'Express and Blue Pearl.

In about 1990, Gregory painted a mural on the east wall of Detroit's techno club Music Institute, which led to an offer to paint a cover for Rhythim Is Rhythim's The Beginning.[2] Afterward, Gregory sang vocals on a number of Carl Craig's tracks.[3]

Personal life

In 1983 Osborne married Heaven 17's singer Glenn Gregory, frontman and vocalist of Heaven 17. She met Gregory when his bandmate Martyn Ware was producing the Allez Allez album "Promises".[4] The couple divorced after about three years of marriage.
