Savage Neck Dunes Natural Area Preserve

Coordinates: 37°19′34″N 76°0′42″W / 37.32611°N 76.01167°W / 37.32611; -76.01167 Savage Neck Dunes Natural Area Preserve is a Natural Area Preserve located in Northampton County, Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay. Its 298 acres (1.21 km²) contain beach, dune, and maritime forest communities of various sorts, as well as habitat for migratory songbirds and northeastern beach tiger beetles. The site is fairly small and has few public facilities; however, some trails have been marked off for hiking, and there is a small public parking area near the entrance.
