Scott Eastwood (born Scott Clinton Reeves; March 21, 1986)[3] is an American actor and model. He has appeared in the films Flags of Our Fathers (2006), Gran Torino (2008), Invictus (2009), The Forger (2012), Trouble with the Curve (2012), Texas Chainsaw (2013), Fury (2014), The Perfect Wave (2014), The Longest Ride (2015) and Suicide Squad (2016). He has also been the model for the fragrance Cool Water by Davidoff. He is the youngest son of Academy Award-winning actor-director Clint Eastwood and second youngest of Jacelyn Reeves.
Early life
Eastwood was born in Monterey County, California[3] and raised in Hawaii.[4]
He is the son of actor-director Clint Eastwood and flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves. Of father Clint Eastwood's seven children, Scott is the fourth oldest.[5] [6][7] He has a younger sister, Kathryn, who was born two years after him, in 1988,[8][6] and five paternal half-siblings, including Kimber Tunis, Kyle Eastwood, Alison Eastwood, Francesca Fisher-Eastwood, and Morgan Eastwood. He graduated from high school in 2003.[9]
He attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, from which he graduated in 2008 with a degree in communications.[10] As of at least 2015, he lives in San Diego.[2]
In August of 2016, Scott opened up to the media about a previous car accident, on September 24, 2014, that killed his girlfriend at the time, Jewel Brangman.[11] Around two years after the accident, Scott reached out to Brangman's father to express his condolences. [12]
Scott is widely known for his almost identical appearance to earlier day, Clint Eastwood. This was highlighted by the media when Scott dressed up as Clint Eastwood's character from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, for a Halloween 2016 charity event.[13]
Career
Eastwood began his career by using his mother's last name to avoid nepotism, although there is another actor named Scott Reeves. "I've auditioned for pretty much every one of my father's movies", he said in 2015, noting he was rejected for the Clint Eastwood-directed American Sniper.[14] He briefly appeared in his father's 2008 film Gran Torino, and played Joel Stransky in Invictus.
In April 2010, Eastwood played the lead role in Enter Nowhere,[15] he had a supporting role in David Ayer's 2014 film Fury, appeared in the 2015 music video for Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams", and starred alongside Britt Robertson in the 2015 film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel The Longest Ride.[16]
In 2016, Eastwood played Lieutenant GQ Edwards, in charge of a group of villains, in the film Suicide Squad, an adaptation of the DC Comics series.[14] Also that year, he starred alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley in the biographical drama film Snowden, directed by Oliver Stone, and released in September.
In September 2015, he was cast as one of the leads in Overdrive, an action movie scheduled to begin shooting in Paris and Marseilles in January 2016.[17][18] He is also set to play a role in the upcoming 2017 film Fast 8.
