Scott Stajcer (born June 14, 1991) is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender and is currently an unrestricted free agent. He was selected by the New York Rangers in the fifth round (140th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Stajcer played major junior hockey with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Stajcer began the 2011-12 season with the Rangers, but was returned to Owen Sound after the team's first two games.[1]
On May 20, 2011, the New York Rangers signed Stajcer to an entry-level contract,[2] and he began the 2011–12 NHL season on the Rangers' roster as the team commenced play in Europe.[3]
Following the 2013-14 season, the Rangers elected not to extend a qualifying offer to Stajcer and as a result he became an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2014.
