SelectTV is a comprehensive media aggregation service, launched in 2016 by FreeCast[1] and utilizing the company’s media discovery engine to create a cross-network online programming guide to online video, radio stations, games, and more. SelectTV updates over 2 million links per day from thousands of free and paid web sources around the world. And Charges for what is otherwise available free.
À La Carte TV
SelectTV differs from traditional pay-TV providers by offering various networks and content subscriptions à la carte rather than in a bundle. With a starting price of $2.99, users can then add subscription services to make more content available, or pay-per-view for individual episodes and movies.[2][3]
Availability
SelectTV is a cross platform service available on all devices.[4] Consumers access the service via one of three means: a web-based interface accessible from any flash-capable browser on any device or operating system, an app for smartphones and tablets, and an executable launcher which integrates with the APKs of set top boxes, streaming sticks, game consoles, and other home media devices. SelectTV was first made available in the United States, and was subsequently test marketed in Australia where it enjoyed a positive reception.[5] Users worldwide are able to sign up for the service, regardless of whether FreeCast has officially launched the service or begun marketing within their region.
White Label Availability
FreeCast has made SelectTV available as a white label product, allowing other companies with large communities of users to deliver the product to their subscribers with their own branding, sharing subscription and ad revenue in the process.[6] Several such deals have been negotiated, most notably one with “As Seen on TV” retail giant Telebrands, to create a co-branded service.
