Shahzad Malik

Shahzad Ali Malik is a former President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He received the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz Award by the President of Pakistan in 2013, the third-highest decoration given to any civilian in Pakistan, in recognition of his research work in the field of hybrid rice technology for higher and better yield of rice in Pakistan.[1][2]

Recognition by the business community

The whole business community including 'Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry' and Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan applauded the decision of President Asif Ali Zardari for conferring of the Sitar-e-Imtiaz Award (Star of Excellence) Award on Ex-Chairman, Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan, also the founder member of this Association.[1]

Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry's President Farooq Iftikhar also commended his efforts for Agricultural Development in Pakistan.[1] He is the son of Muhammad Shafi Malik, another recipient of this award in the past.
