Sherlyn Chopra (born Mona Chopra) is an Indian model and actress known for her works in Bollywood and Playboy.[3][4][5][6] In July 2012, Chopra announced that she would become part of Playboy magazine.[7][8] Subsequently, she became the first Indian woman posing nude for the official Playboy magazine.[9][3][4][10] She was then selected to host the sixth season of the show MTV Splitsvilla.[11] In December 2013, she released her music single titled "Bad Girl".[12]

Early life and modelling

Sherlyn Chopra's father was a doctor.[13] She attended Stanley Girls High School and Saint Ann's College for Women in Secunderabad. In 1999 she was crowned "Miss Andhra".[14][15]

Film career

Chopra's early acting career consisted of roles in few Bollywood films. She appeared in movies such as Time Pass, Red Swastik and Game. She made her Telugu film debut in A film By Aravind.[16] Chopra was also a contestant on Bigg Boss.[17] She was evicted from the show on Day 27.[18] From 2013 on, she filmed as the lead protagonist in Kamasutra 3D directed by Rupesh Paul and she also appeared in the trailer which was release at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival.[19] [20] It went silent around the production after that for a while and in June 2016 she told the media that she wasn't working on the project anymore. [21]
