Sinotrans Shipping Limited (SEHK: 368) is one of the largest shipping companies in China. It is engaged in vessel time chartering, shipping service and fleet management. It is parented by Sinotrans Group and headquartered in Hong Kong.[1]
It was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2007 with its IPO price at HK$8.28 per share.[2] But it had dropped below IPO price since the first trading day because of poor performance of stock market influenced by subprime mortgage crisis in the United States.[3]
It joined Hang Seng China-Affiliated Corporations Index (red chip stock) from 2008 to 2010.
