Skysaw is an American alternative rock ensemble feature former The Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin along with multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Mike Reina and guitarist Anthony Pirog.[1]
History
Formed in 2009, alternative rock ensemble Skysaw feature former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin along with multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Mike Reina and guitarist Anthony Pirog. Both onetime members of the Fairfax, Virginia psych-pop ensemble the Jackfields, Reina and Pirog met Chamberlin through mutual friends and began working on material. The band released its debut full-length album, Great Civilizations featuring production by legendary rock producer Roy Thomas Baker, in June 2011.[2][3]
On August 23, 2012 Jimmy Chamberlin announced that he had left Skysaw.
