Soheila Darvishkohan
Soheila Darvishkohan was a socialist Iranian woman.
As a sympathizer of the Organization of Iranian People's Fedaian (Majority), she was arrested by the Islamic Republic. After spending several years in jail, and enduring five floggings a day, at each prayer time, for refusing to renounce her secular ways and become a pious Muslim, she committed suicide by hanging. The circumstances surrounding her death were related by Soudabeh Ardavan.
