Source Serif Pro is a serif typeface created by Frank Grießhammer for Adobe Systems. It is the third open source font family from Adobe, distributed under the SIL Open Font License.[1]
The typeface is inspired by the forms of Pierre Simon Fournier, especially his Manuel Typographique typeface. This family of fonts is a complementary design to the Source Sans family. It is available in six weights (Regular, ExtraLight, Light, Semibold, Bold, Black) in upright styles. Italic and bold styles will be released at a later date.[1]
