St. Peter's School was the first bilingual school established in Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain).

It was established in 1964 by José Mª Ginjaume Mencerré, Marian Garriga and Jaume Lerma. The initial idea was to provide students the chance to learn English and to give an individualized education.

Pedagogical outline

The school follows the Spanish curriculum.

At present it provides its students with 5 languages: English, Spanish, Catalan, French and German. It also offers Chinese as an optional extraschool language.

Teaching is in English to students from 18 months old until the end of E.S.O. (15 years old). The other languages are gradually introduced starting in primary, but English is the main teaching language up to Bachillerato (Baccalaureate).
