St. Rose of Lima Parish in Chula Vista

Coordinates: 32°38′05.75″N 117°04′34.60″W / 32.6349306°N 117.0762778°W / 32.6349306; -117.0762778 St. Rose of Lima Parish is a parish located in Chula Vista, California. Located on a former lemon grove, the parish grew from a small gathering of 12 families in 1921 to nearly 7,000 families or 15,000 Catholics in 2009. (There was uncertainty whether the parish began in 1913 or 1921, but research has shown that 1921 is the correct date.)[1] The parish is a part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego.

Schools

The parish has two schools: Daniel's Den Pre-School and St. Rose of Lima School. St. Pius X School is also located in Chula Vista, but is a part of St. Pius X Parish.
