The Train Has Stopped (Russian: Oстановился пoeзд, translit. Ostanovilsya poezd) is a 1982 Soviet drama film directed by Vadim Abdrashitov and written by Aleksandr Mindadze. The last film role of Anatoly Solonitsyn.[1]
Before the official premiere the film was shown in spring of 1982 at the Concert Hall of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
Plot
A train driver dies when preventing a catastrophe. He is considered a hero but an investigator seeking to establish the true circumstances of the tragedy is soon convinced that the misfortune was a result of official negligence.[2]
