Sulzbach an der Murr is a town in the district of Rems-Murr in Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
Geography
The resort town of Sulzbach an der Murr is in the Murr Valley at an elevation of 268 to 520 meters.
"Where the graceful, bright green Murr Valley is considerably widened by the confluence of the Lauter [tributary] approaching to the southwest and Fischbachtälchen coming directly from the North, lies in the proud poplar stands picturesque valley occupied the great urban-looking place...." begins the description of the town of Sulzbach an der Murr in the Oberamt description from 1871.
Sulzbach is located about 40 km northeast of Stuttgart in the middle of the Nature Park Swabian-Franconian Forest between the Löwenstein Mountains and the Murrhardter Forest.
