Coordinates: 39°45′N 44°48′E / 39.750°N 44.800°E Surenavan (Armenian: Սուրենավան; until 1946, Avshar Mets) is a town in the Ararat Province of Armenia. The town was renamed in 1946 in honor of Suren Spandaryan, a revolutionary.[1]
