Tadao Takashima (高島 忠夫 Takashima Tadao, born 27 July 1930) is a Japanese actor. He has appeared in more than fifty films since 1952.
Career
Takashima began participating in a jazz band while a student at Kwansei Gakuin University.[1] He left the university before graduating when he joined the Shintoho studio, debuting as an actor in 1952.[1] He became famous as a romantic lead who could also sing, which led to roles in stage musicals as well.[1] He also hosted several television shows.[1] His sons are the actors Masahiro Takashima and Masanobu Takashima.
