Tasman is served by both the Mountain View–Winchester and Alum Rock–Santa Teresa lines, and has served as the northern primary transfer point between the two lines since August 2005, when the line from Mountain View was reconfigured to serve downtown San Jose and no longer serve Baypointe station in preparation for the opening of the Vasona light rail extension project.

The Tasman West extension was opened in December 1999 to connect Tasman with Mountain View, California's Great America, the Great America Altamont Commuter Express stop which connects with VTA's Lick Mill, and I-880/Milpitas.

Connecting transit

VTA Bus Route 33 no longer serves this station due to bus service updates implemented on January 14, 2008.
