Taxify OÜ is an Estonian international transportation network company headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia. The company develops and operates the Taxify mobile application, which helps people request a taxi or private driver from their smartphone. By September 6, 2015, the service was available in 10 countries and 13 cities around Europe.
Taxify was founded by Markus Villig in 2013,[1] and the app was released in August. Beginning in 2014, Taxify started expanding internationally. In 2015, Taxify was the first transportation app in the world which allows customers to pay for their trip via mobile carrier billing.[2]
Since its founding, Taxify has raised over €1.5 million in investments from various investors.[3][4]
