History
After touring together in 2007 as the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi's Soul Stew Revival, the married couple merged their respective groups to form the Tedeschi Trucks Band in 2010.[1] Their first concert was on April 1, 2010 at the Savannah Music Festival.
The first Tedeschi Trucks Band CD, Revelator, was released in June 2011.[2] The album peaked at No. 92 on the Canadian Albums Chart,[3] No. 164 in the UK Albums Chart[4] and won a Grammy Award for Best Blues Album.[5]
Their second album, Everybody's Talkin' was recorded live and released in May 2012.[6]
In 2013, the band was nominated for the Blues Music Awards [7] and release their third album, Made Up Mind.[8]
The band gave a Joe Cocker tribute concert at the 2015 Lockn' Fesitval[9] featuring alumni musicians from Cocker's bands.[10]
The band's first three albums were published by Sony Masterworks but[11] their 2015 album Let Me Get By was released on Fantasy Records.[12] Produced by Trucks, the album debuted at #15 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Sales Chart.[13]
