Amateur career
Pizarro was the 1991 National Golden Gloves Light welterweight champion.
Pro career
Known as "Hard Hitting Pizarro", Pizarro turned pro in 1993 won the IBF Light Welterweight Title with a 5th round TKO over Vince Phillips in February 1999. He defended the title against Virgil McClendon, courtesy of a 12th round TKO, but was stripped of his belt.
