The Drop Box is a 2014 documentary film directed by Brian Ivie about a pastor in South Korea who provides a refuge to orphans who would otherwise be abandoned.
The film was distributed by Focus on the Family. After a theatrical release in March 2015, the firm was made available for church viewings.[1]
Synopsis
Lee Jong-rak set up a warm comfortable box in the wall with a motion detector that allows people who cannot take care of their babies to leave them anonymously. The Drop Box tells the story of how this came to be and what happens to orphans who might otherwise be left on the street. According to the documentary, over 600 children have been rescued this way.[2]
