The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd is an Australian subsidiary of American company The GEO Group Inc., responsible for the delivery of outsourced correctional services in Australia. Its head office is on Level 18 in the National Mutual Centre in the Sydney CBD in the City of Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales.[1]
Prisons managed by GEO Group Australia include;
- Junee Correctional Centre,
- Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre,
- Parklea Correctional Centre,
- Fulham Correctional Centre, and
- NALU (at Fulham Correctional Centre).
As part of the GEO Consortium, GEO Group Australia was awarded the contract to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the 1,000 bed (with potential expansion to 1,300 beds) Ravenhall Prison in Melbourne, Victoria. Ravenhall Prison is scheduled to open in 2017 and the contract has a duration of 25 years.
