The J.T.A are an English three-piece Britrock band formed in 2013 from Newcastle upon Tyne/London. The band have a solid live reputation having played around the country, including the O2 Academy Newcastle the Bullitt Sessions in Camden and the popular Lanchester beer festival. The band are heavily influenced by The Boxer Rebellion, Cast, The Music. [1]

Career

Originally formed as a two piece consisting of vocalist guitarist Jon Mallark and bassist Lee Houghton, soon to be followed by drummer Dave Scott, The J.T.A quickly established themselves as a solid three-piece creating original high energy music. [2] [3]

The J.T.A came to light when their song Scruff was played on BBC Newcastle and claimed by the presenter as "one of the shortest songs we've ever played" been only 1 minute 51 seconds long. The band have since performed at venues across the UK including O2 Academy Newcastle and gained a reputation for appearing on stage wearing Balaclavas.

The band are also known for their work with local charities, most frequently Teenage Cancer Trust which they have raised money for on several occasions. [6] [7] [8]
