The Polka King is an upcoming American comedy film directed and written by Maya Forbes and Wallace Wolodarsky. The film stars Jack Black, Jenny Slate, Jason Schwartzman, and Jacki Weaver.

Production
The Polka King is based on the Joshua Brown and John Mikulak's documentary The Man Who Would Be Polka King, about the rise and fall of Jan Lewan, a Pennsylvania polka sensation who seduced his fans into investing in a Ponzi scheme.[1]
Principal photography on the film began in mid-July 2016 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and later it also took place in Cranston.[5][6]
