Tim Porter
Tim Porter[1] is a British television editor, best known for his work on the HBO series, 'Game of Thrones[2]', as well as several other British television series.[3]
In 2016 he was recognised in Variety's Below The Line Impact Report as, 'an editor capable of building suspense and excruciating drama.'[4] He won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series[5] for his work on Game of Thrones, season 6, episode 9, 'Battle of the Bastards' in which he 'sifted through nearly 100 hours of footage to create a seamless battle scene.'[6] He also won a 2016 HPA[7] award for the same episode.
In 2015, he received Emmy[8] HPA[9] and Eddie[10] nominations for his editing of 'Game of Thrones season 5, episode 9, 'Hardhome', directed by Miguel Sapochnik.
He is a member of American Cinema Editors.[11]
