Trico Homes Inc. is a homebuilder in North America, with its headquarters based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The company builds single- and multi-family homes,[1] with a focus on single-family residential structures, but also has a growing presence in the multi-unit construction industry.

History

The Trico Group of Companies was established in June 1989 by Wayne Chiu, a mechanical engineer educated in Winnipeg and Hong Kong. Trico Homes was founded three years later in 1992.[2] To date the company has built over 8,000 homes in Calgary and the surrounding communities.

The company’s name is an acronym meaning “Trust, Respect, Integrity, Community and Opportunity”.[3]

Services

Trico Homes features plans for single- and multi-family homes. Homes range in size from less than 700 square feet to more than 3000 square feet, and include condominiums, townhomes, duplexes, laned, and attached homes. Trico Homes partners with a wide array of national brand suppliers to offer a full range of products and upgrades.

Builder Communities

Trico Homes currently builds homes in numerous Calgary communities, including Beacon Heights, Evanston, Nolan Hill, Redstone, Coach Ridge, Cranston, Legacy & Mahogany.[4]

The company has also builds homes in communities outside of Calgary including Airdrie, Alberta, Cochrane, Alberta & Okotoks, Alberta.
