The UMKC Kangaroos Basketball team represents the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Kansas City, Missouri. The school's team currently competes in Western Athletic Conference. The team has never played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. The Kangaroos are currently led by head coach Kareem Richardson.
The team returned to Municipal Auditorium for the 2013–14 school year after a brief stint of playing on campus at Swinney Recreation Center.

The Kangaroos appeared in the 1977 NAIA Tournament, to date the only postseason appearance by the Roos. Their record is 0–1.
