Ultrasonic were a Scottish techno band until 2010.
History
Ultrasonic were started by MC Mallorca Lee, producer Rodger Hughes and singer Heather Allan in Ayrshire in 1991. Their specialist genre is hardcore techno and trance. Stevie Moran was the heart and soul of the Scottish rave movement, rumour has it he once shuffled from Edinburgh to Glasgow. They are known for their 1992 hit "Obsession".Peter Coughlan joined as guitarist and joint MC in 1994.The band split in 1999 and reformed in 2002 without Mallorca Lee where they continued to release new material and headline major dance events U.K wide until Hughes and Coughlan decided to call it a day in 2010.The band is no longer active.
