Union Square (Chinese: 团结广场), also called Solidarity Square, is in the center of Hotan, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China. It is so called to promote unity among the various nationalities in the area, where the Uyghur people are in the majority. It is 250 meters long from north to south, and 200 meters wide from east to west.[1]
In the center of the square stands the statue of Kurban Tulum's shaking hands with Mao Zedong. In the southeast corner opens a night market, visited by both local people and tourists.
