'Up Jumped the Boogie' is the debut single by Australian hip hop trio Bliss n Eso. It was released 26 January 2006 through Illusive Sounds as the first single from the trio's second studio album Day of the Dog.[1] The song peaked at No. 56 on the ARIA Singles Chart.[2] An additional EP of the song was released containing other tracks from Day of the Dog.
Content
The song is the about the Australian hip hop scene, which in 2006 was yet to gain much recognition, and that Bliss n Eso are here to stay.
Music video
The music video runs for 4 minutes and 1 second. It features Bliss n Eso rapping the song in a small room, before climbing a ladder out into an alleyway. They then rap the song on a stage in a club and out in the alleyway.[3]

Reception
Reception to the song was positive, OzHipHop.com wrote "Lead single ‘Up Jumped the Boogie’ is a great head-nodding anthem".[6]
Chart performance
The debuted at No. 56 on the ARIA Singles Chart. It spent a total of six weeks in the top 100.[7]
