Plot
Cevdet (Halit Ergenç) is a captain in Thessalonica towards the end of Balkan war. A courageous soldier for his country, a passionate lover of his wife Azize (Bergüzar Korel); an affectionate father for their children Ali Kemal, Yıldız and Hilal, a good son for his mother Hasibe
While struggling with all their power on the front with his blood-brother Tevfik in order not to lose the land of the country, a treacherous event turns everything upside down. Cevdet is obligated to drift away from his family. Tevfik helps Azize who had to move to İzmir from Thessalonica. He stays beside them at the cost of exposing his feelings towards Azize, which he had for many years. However, Tevfik alsa has a big secret …
Azize finds herself in a difficult struggle together with her three children and mother in law… She raises her children with the absence of his husband, whom she loved dearly, and by struggling with the difficulties of the war years.
In 1919, Yıldız is a very beautiful girl with stars in her eyes and Hilal is a fighter young girl who is in love with her country. Ali Kemal is like a ship without a rudder with the pangs of love in his heart and the sad secret he learned about himself. While Azize tries to deal with the problems of each, they are shocked by the news that İzmir will be occupied by Greeks. However, this occupation will bring someone whom they lost years ago.
