VersaCold is a Vancouver, British Columbia based company that provides warehouse and distribution services.
Overview
VersaCold, founded in 1946, operates 73 modern, temperature-controlled warehouses across Canada and in the US, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand, with a combined storage capacity of close to 272 million cubic feet (7,700,000 m3). They offer custom freezing and food processing, as well as complete third party logistics and transportation services.
VersaCold is structured such that it is controlled by the VersaCold Income Fund, a limited purpose trust that generates monthly cash distributions for unitholders.
The company was acquired by Eimskip Holdings Inc.[1] effective August 2, 2007, and delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange. Effective 2010 Eimskip sold significant interest in company to Yucaipa Companies.
