Vijay Sales is an Indian electronics retail store chain based out of Mumbai. It is headquartered in Jogeshwari, Mumbai.[1] Vijay Sales was started as a small TV showroom at Mahim by Nanu Gupta in 1967.[2] It currently operates 67 stores across the states of Maharashtra, Haryana, UP, Gujarat and Delhi.[3] and has more than 9,000 Products to choose and is located in prime location all over India and has 28 stores in Mumbai, 11 stores in Pune, 12 stores in Gujarat, 11 stores in Delhi, 4 stores in Haryana, 2 stores in Uttar Pradesh. A New Concept of VS-DIGI stores (Powered by Vijay Sales) are opened all across India.

History

Nanu Gupta was born in Punjab Province, British India in 1936.[4] He moved to Bombay in 1954 and started working as a distributor for Usha electric fans.[5]

Vijay Sales was founded on 1967 as a small television showroom by Nanu Gupta in Mahim, Mumbai as Vijay Television Store. In 1981 it changed its name and corporate structure to present it. Vijay Sales has long since evolved into one of Mumbai's leading chain of electronic superstores, now having expanded to major cities across India. By 2010 it spread from Mumbai to Pune, Surat,Delhi and all other major cities in India. It has since received many awards for its service and goods it has delivered. It has launched a special Apple products section and stores.

Vijay Sales corporate headquarters in CTS No. 220/ 16 - 17, Patel Estate Road, Near MTNL Telephone Exchange & 24 Karat, Jogeshwari-West, Mumbai-400102. It is head by Nanu Gupta who is Entrepreneur|Founder and Chairman of Vijay Sales and is followed by his two sons Nilesh Gupta and Ashish Gupta who are Managing Partners of the company.[6] By March 2015 Vijay Sales has more than 2,300 employees and a well connected supply chain and warehouses at its disposal. It also maintains an online electronic shopping site to stay ahead in the Market.
