Volume One: UnIndian Songs is the first studio album by American rapper and Anticon co-founder Pedestrian. It was released on Anticon in 2005. The album features contributions from Doseone, Why?, Sole, and Jel, among others.[5] In 2004, Pedestrian released "The Toss & Turn" b/w "Arrest the President" as a single from the album.[9][10]

Reception

Mike Diver of Drowned in Sound gave the album an 8 out of 10, calling it "a breathtaking effort, easily exceeding any pre-release expectations."[3] Bill Banks of Luna Kafé described the album as "[a] timeless masterpiece for anyone smart enough to still care about these people a little more than The Neptunes and Timbaland."[4]

Meanwhile, Brian Howe of Pitchfork Media said, "a large part of Anticon's appeal has been its capacity to surprise, and while Pedestrian's record befuddles, proselytizes, and fascinates, it rarely strays from the established palette."[5]

It reached number 17 on the Dusted Top 40 Radio Chart on March 1, 2005.[11]
