W47CG was a low power television station in Meridian, Mississippi, broadcasting locally on channel 47. Formerly an owned-and-operated satellite repeater for the Trinity Broadcasting Network, the station is now defunct.
On March 20, 2006, the station was granted a construction permit to begin converting operations to digital television, though the facilities were never built.
TBN took W47CG silent February 3, 2010 due to declining support, which has been attributed to the digital transition.[1] The station's license would later be cancelled in 2011, due to inactivity.
