WXK33 (sometimes referred to as San Angelo All Hazards) is a NOAA Weather Radio station that serves the San Angelo metropolitan area and surrounding cities. Wildfire Damage
On Friday April 15, 2011, a wildfire engulfed the transmitter site leaving the transmitting equipment inside of the building badly damaged. The National Weather Service issued a statement saying the station would remain off air until repairs are made to the station, days later the NWS announced that a temporary transmitter would be installed at the site. On Thursday April 21, 2011 the station began broadcasting again with its temporary transmitter.
