Wael Arakji is a Lebanese Basketball player who plays for Al Riyadi Beirut in the Lebanese Basketball League as a Point Guard.

He is known for his speed and acrobatic finishes.

Career

Wael Arakji was a huge standout for the U18 national team in the 2012 FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship in which Lebanon came 7th in the rankings. His individual performance however sparked the interests of Slobodan Subotic who at the time had been appointed as head coach in that year for Riyadi. Arakji signed for Riyadi in 2012 and played his first game in the 2012 Hariri Tournament taking place in Saida. Arakji has been considered as one of the best young talents entering the league along with team mate Ali Haidar. On April 26, 2015, it was reported that he entered the 2015 NBA draft.[1]

West Asia Basketball Tournament

Wael won the West Asia Basketball Tournament with the Lebanese national basketball team, without losing a single game.
