Weather Zombie is a website and associated iPhone application providing zombie-themed weather reports.
Weather Zombie Website
Created by Lycos and launched in mid October, 2010,[2] Weather Zombie is a website that provides weather forecasting via a weather data feed from AccuWeather and relayed through various weather themed zombies.
Weather Zombie provides worldwide weather forecasting for current, 7-day and hour by hour conditions. There is also radar information, however it currently only covers the United States and parts of Canada. Aside from weather forecasting, Weather Zombie also irregularly posts comic strips based on images loosely depicted from radar images as well as comic strips that feature the site's zombies in various situations.
Weather Zombie iPhone App
In April 2011 Weather Zombie was released to the Apple App store as a free app. It is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices running iOS 3.1.3 and later. Though compatible with iPads, it is currently an iPhone/iPod Touch optimized app.[3]
Reception
Both the website and iPhone app have received favorable reviews from various zombie themed websites[4] and App review websites.[5] The biggest criticisms of both being the lack of worldwide radar information, lacking national weather emergency data and being iPhone App exclusive.
