William Hargrave was a professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s, and '30s playing at representative level for Yorkshire, and at club level for Castleford, as a Wing, i.e. number 2 or 5.[1][2][3]

County honours
William Hargrave won a cap playing Right-Wing, i.e. number 2 for Yorkshire while at Castleford in the 17-22 defeat by Glamorgan & Monmouth at Cardiff on 15 April 1929.[4]
Club career
William Hargrave made his début for Castleford in the 0-22 defeat by Hull on 28 August 1926.
