The 2017-2018 Ashes series is a forthcoming series of Ashes Test cricket matches to be contested between England and Australia in Australia between November 2017 and January 2018.
Venues
The five venues are expected to be at The Gabba, Adelaide Oval, the WACA Ground, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The WACA Ground is expected to host its final Test during the series, prior to the opening of the new Perth Stadium.[1] However, in November 2015 it was announced that construction of the new stadium was well ahead of schedule and the Perth Test may be hosted at the new venue.[2] A final decision on the venue would be made before the end of 2016.
In December 2016, Cricket Australia (CA) were looking at hosting the first day/night Ashes match, with Adelaide being the likely venue.[3]
Media
The series will be broadcast in Australia by the Nine Network.[4] As part of a five-year deal with CA which commences in 2016, BT Sport will provide television coverage of the series in the United Kingdom.[5]
