Angela Chang (traditional Chinese: 張韶涵; simplified Chinese: 张韶涵; pinyin: Zhāng Shàohán; born January 19, 1982) is a Taiwanese singer and actress. Her song Invisible Wings (Chinese: 隐形的翅膀) is widely regarded as her greatest masterpiece.
Early years
Her parents are 張志宏 and 姜柔伊. She has a younger sister Connie (張韶軒) and a younger brother (張韶杰). Chang is a Hakka from Zhongli, Taoyuan. At 10 years old, she moved to Singapore to study. A few months later she moved back to Zhongli because she was not able to adapt there. Her family later migrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.[1] She studied in Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School.
Career
Her popularity rose as she became the main lead of Taiwan hit TV Drama My MVP Valentine with Taiwanese boy band 5566, followed by a role as the main lead of another Taiwan hit TV Drama At Dolphin Bay alongside Wallace Huo, in which she also sang the ending theme song. She has been nominated twice for Best Actress at the Golden Bell Awards in Taiwan.
