Ansty is a village in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, England. It lies on the A272 road 1.4 miles (2.2 km) southwest of Cuckfield. At the 2011 Census the population was included in the civil parish of Ansty and Staplefield.
Ansty has a pub (the Ansty Cross), a cricket team (Ansty Cricket Club), 1 football club (Ansty Sports and Social FC) and the Dark Star micro brewery.
Ansty also plays host to the annual "Ansty Music Festival" or "AMF" which is now in its final year.
Pronunciation
Ansty or Anstye is traditionally pronounced with a heavy stress on the final syllable.[1]
