The 10th season of the television series Arthur was originally broadcast on PBS in the United States from May 15, 2006 to May 26, 2006 and contains 10 episodes. The DVD set for the season was released in region 1 on March 25, 2008. This included downloadable teaching materials and described video for the visually impaired.[1] Guest stars were Edgar Rentería, Mike Timlin, Johnny Damon, and Ming Tsai. This is the last season in which Jason Szwimmer voices D.W.

2006 was marked as a 10-year milestone for the TV series Arthur and a 30-year milestone of the book series by Marc Brown. In celebration, a contest was run on the Arthur website called "Crazy 10's Scavenger Hunt", where viewers would search for hidden "10"s on the season's episodes for a chance to win a prize.[2]

It is Arthur's parents' 10th anniversary and for their special dinner, they are going to a special restaurant; Arthur is supposed to go to Buster's house to sleep over and watch the Bionic Bunny 10th Anniversary Special, and D.W. needs to find a gift of tin. Grandpa Dave unexpectedly needs a ride to the Fireman's Ball, and the car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. The entire Read family comes to understand that just spending time together is as special as any planned celebration.

The Squirrels: Arthur and Buster watch an old scary movie on television called The Squirrels. Everyone in school except Binky sees it, and they all (except Binky) become afraid of squirrels. They become really scared that they never play in the park. Eventually Arthur and his friends find that knowledge is key to overcoming their fear. (The Squirrels is based on The Birds, which is actually mentioned in the episode.)
Fern & Persimmony Glitchet: Fern writes to her favorite author, Persimmony Glitchet, who gives her advice on becoming an author. Fern writes a story under the pen name Agatha Shelley and gets published, but the story is a disaster. Fern follows Glitchet's advice and tries again with much better results.

Desert Island Dish: As a year-end assignment, Mr. Ratburn's class must find the one ideal food that each of them would choose if stranded on a desert island. The Brain researches many food items, but comes to the conclusion that a variety of foods is the best way to survive. The kids form a group, each choosing a food from a different food group.
The Secret About Secrets: D.W. is jealous because everyone seems to have been told a secret except her. When she learns a secret which could cause her friend, James, real embarrassment if she ever told, she discovers that having a secret is not all it is cracked up to be.

Feeling Flush: With Catherine complaining that Francine is using too much water during a drought, Francine and Arthur compete to see who can conserve the most water in a bet. When it looks like Francine's family is using even more water, Francine catches Nemo playing with the toilet flusher and continuously flushing the toilet.
Family Fortune: Arthur, D.W, and Grandma Thora search for something to bring to a television auction show.

D.W. Aims High: D.W. dreams of becoming an astronaut and being the first person to set foot on Mars, but the Tibbles tell her that Mars is the home of martians and purple blood-thirsty aliens. D.W. decides Mars is scary, until Mr. Read shows her The War of The Worlds and Mars in the planetarium. D.W. learns that Mars is nothing like the Tibbles' descriptions, and decides after all to make her career project about being the first to set foot on Mars.
Flaw and Order: Buster and Arthur are falsely accused of breaking a cake plate that Mr. Read ordered. Mr. Read now needs proof that they did not do it. Arthur and Buster must seek clues to find out what really happened.

The Curse of the Grebes: After the Grebes lose their lead in the World Championships, Buster believes that he is "The Curse of the Kid", a curse that was put on the Grebes 86 years ago. After meeting three famous Grebes at the market, he learns better. This episode is a parody of the 86-year "Curse of the Bambino" that plagued the Boston Red Sox until 2004, and their fierce rivalry with the New York Yankees (as the Crown City Kings) is heavily parodied as well. Edgar Rentería, Mike Timlin and Johnny Damon guest star.
Arthur Changes Gears: After saving up the funds to by the GX trailblazer 10,000 bike and having purchased one, Arthur is hesitant in riding it for fear that it will become damaged. However, after a dream, Arthur decides that the best way is to enjoy riding his bike, hence the purpose of having purchased one.

Do You Speak George?: The gang has to split into groups who all have their own special, made-up language. Muffy and Francine refuse to let Arthur and Buster learn their language game, so the pair decide to make up their own. George wants to learn their language, but struggles, and therefore tries to invent his own sign language. The ensuing confusion convinces everyone that their original language is the most practical.
World Girls: Muffy has become obsessed with World Girl Dolls. Each doll is dressed in the national costume of a particular country, and comes with accessories and a book related to that country. Sue Ellen is interested in purchasing an accessory for her doll, but when it goes out of production, she decides on another solution.

What's Cooking?: Ming Tsai The big cooking competition is coming up and everyone is making a dish of his or her choice. Arthur decides to make a chocolate cake. Everything goes wrong when the baking powder is gone and baking soda is used instead, but Arthur learns making mistakes in cooking may lead to the creation of a new recipe.
Buster's Special Delivery: Mr. Haney has decided to choose the very first student mail carrier. Buster accepts the job with great enthusiasm. He starts not liking work, but eventually, some assistance teaches him to perform his job better.
