Australia–Ireland relations are foreign relations between the Commonwealth of Australia and the Republic of Ireland. Australia has an embassy in Dublin. Ireland has an embassy in Canberra and a consulate-general in Sydney. Both nations are former British colonies.
History
About 20% of the Australian population have Irish ancestry, which often predates Irish Independence in 1922.
