Bangladesh–Croatia relations refer to the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Croatia. Relations between the two countries have been considered cordial with both the countries working towards strengthening them further.[1]

Areas of cooperation

The educational sector, cultural exchange and economic cooperation have been identified as potential areas for bilateral cooperation between the two countries.[2]

Economic cooperation

Bangladesh and Croatia have shown their deep interest to expand the bilateral economic activities between the two countries and have been taking necessary steps in this regard. Croatia has expressed its interest to sign a memorandum of understanding with Bangladesh focusing on large scale bilateral investments.[3] Croatia has also sought joint collaboration with Bangladesh in the shipbuilding sector. Croatia has invited Bangladesh to use the facilities of Croatian sea ports in accessing the East European markets. As of 2012, Bangladesh's annual export to Croatia amounted to $100 million.[4] Bangladeshi jute and jute goods, ready made garments, leather goods, ceramic and pharmaceuticals have been identified as products with good potential in the Croatian market. Bangladesh has invited Croatia to recruit skilled manpower from Bangladesh.[5]
