Bhandal Buta (Punjabi: ਭੰਡਲ ਬੂਟਾ) is a village in Jalandhar district of Punjab State, India. It is located 10 km away from Nakodar, 27 km from Phillaur, 28.5 km from district headquarter Jalandhar and 137 km from state capital Chandigarh. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village.
Demography
As of 2011, Bhandal Buta has a total number of 147 houses and population of 709 of which 339 include are males while 370 are females according to the report published by Census India in 2011. Literacy rate of Bhandal Buta is 76.32%, higher than state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 84 which is 11.85% of total population of Bhandal Buta, and child sex ratio is approximately 1211 as compared to Punjab state average of 846.
Most of the people are from Schedule Caste which constitutes 52.19% of total population in Bhandal Buta. The town does not have any Schedule Tribe population so far.
202 people were engaged in work activities out of the total population of Bhandal Buta which includes 179 males and 23 females. According to census survey report 2011, 96.04% workers describe their work as main work and 3.96% workers are involved in Marginal activity providing livelihood for less than 6 months and 0% are agricultural labourer.[1]

The village has a co-ed primary school founded in 1976. The school provide a mid-day meal as per the Indian Midday Meal Scheme.[2]
